Shanny Apodaca started Simply Good Kitchen in 2002 to combine two of the loves in her life, cooking and teaching. The third love in her life, her husband Bill, joined her efforts a year later and together they make a dynamic and entertaining teaching team.

Simply Good Kitchen classes are formatted to help students understand and master the five basic cooking techniques: sauté, grill, roast, braise and poach. Shanny and Bill believe that once you’ve mastered the basic five, you can cook anything your palate desires.

The cooking classes combine techniques from the home kitchen along with tips and techniques from their professional culinary background. Classes at Simply Good Kitchen are small and intimate. Our classes are multiple course, demonstration-style, and students are served a full portion of each course as it’s presented. Great attention is given to presentation, using fine china or unique serving pieces. Questions are encouraged, and often lead to lively discussion. Detailed recipes are provided to take home from each class.
